1 TRX was worth about ₹30.18 at 1:05 AM IST on 5 November 2026, according to CoinGecko ($0.3197). That makes 1,000 TRX roughly ₹30,180. For the live number, see our TRX price page and the TRX to INR page.

”TRX to INR” is one of the questions Indian readers search most often, usually because they hold TRON for cheap USDT transfers or picked it up on an Indian exchange. The conversion is the easy part. The more useful question is how much of your rupee gain is really TRON, and how much you keep after tax.

TRX in rupees: quick conversions

At ₹30.18 per TRX (CoinGecko, 1:05 AM IST, 5 Nov 2026):

TRXValue in ₹
100 TRX₹3,018
500 TRX₹15,090
1,000 TRX₹30,180
5,000 TRX₹1,50,900
10,000 TRX₹3,01,800

Indian exchanges quote their own TRX/INR price, which can sit above or below this global rate. Check the gap on our INR premium tracker before you sell.

The angle most converters miss: the rupee did part of the work

CoinGecko’s historical snapshot for 5 November 2025 puts TRX at ₹25.28, or $0.2854. Compare that with today:

  • In rupees: ₹25.28 to ₹30.18, a rise of 19.4%.
  • In dollars: $0.2854 to $0.3197, a rise of 12.0%.

The difference is the currency. The rupee rate implied by CoinGecko’s own prices moved from about ₹88.56 to ₹94.42 per dollar, a fall of roughly 6.6% for the rupee.

BtcMedia’s math: someone who bought 1,000 TRX a year ago for ₹25,280 now holds ₹30,180, a gain of ₹4,900. Had the rupee stayed at ₹88.56, the same coins would be worth about ₹28,307, a gain of only ₹3,027. So about ₹1,873, or 38% of the rupee gain, came from the weaker rupee, not from TRON.

That matters because Indian tax doesn’t care where the gain came from. You pay on the full rupee gain.

What you keep after selling

TRX is a virtual digital asset (VDA) under Indian tax law, the same as bitcoin or USDT. The rules, per the Income Tax Department’s VDA TDS page and the scheme in force since April 2022:

  • 30% plus 4% cess (31.2%) on the gain, whatever your slab or holding period. Only the purchase cost is deductible.
  • 1% TDS on the full sale value, which Indian exchanges deduct automatically. It’s an advance payment you claim back against your tax, not an extra tax.
  • No loss set-off. A loss on TRX can’t reduce tax on gains from other coins.

Using the example above (purchase price from the year-ago snapshot, sale at today’s rate, fees ignored):

ItemAmount
Sale value, 1,000 TRX₹30,180
Purchase cost₹25,280
Gain₹4,900
Tax at 31.2%₹1,528.80
TDS cut at sale (1%)₹301.80, adjusted against the tax
Net profit after tax₹3,371.20

Run your own figures in the crypto tax calculator and the TDS calculator. If you sold this year, our guide on advance tax by 15 December explains why the bill may be due before next July.

Staked TRX: two things to know before selling

Many TRON holders stake TRX to get free Energy for USDT transfers (we compared those costs in our USDT transfer fee guide). Under TRON’s Stake 2.0, unstaked TRX sits in a 14-day pending period on mainnet before you can withdraw it, per TRON’s developer docs. If you plan to sell before a deadline, start two weeks early.

Voting rewards from staked TRX are new coins. Their tax treatment in India isn’t spelled out coin by coin; our staking and airdrop tax calculator shows the common approach, and a tax professional can confirm it for your case.

BtcMedia verdict

A TRX-to-INR converter tells you what your coins are worth. It doesn’t tell you that over a third of last year’s rupee gain came from currency, not the coin, and that tax applies to all of it. Before selling, check the exchange’s INR price against the global rate, account for the 14-day unstaking wait, and set aside 31.2% of the gain.

FAQ

What is 1 TRX in INR today? About ₹30.18 at 1:05 AM IST on 5 November 2026 (CoinGecko). Prices move constantly, so check the live TRX to INR page.

How we calculated this: prices from CoinGecko’s live API at 1:05 AM IST on 5 November 2026 and its historical snapshot for 5 November 2025; the implied USD/INR rate is CoinGecko’s INR price divided by its USD price. Fees and surcharge are excluded.
