As Bitcoin got bigger, very fast growth got rarer. No 4-year window starting in 2022 or later has finished yet.

How it is calculated

Each window buys on the 1st of a month and values the coin on the 1st of the month exactly 1 to 5 years later. Every start month is counted, so windows overlap; they are not independent experiments, and 4 to 5-year windows really only cover two or three big market cycles.

Target check: multiple needed = target ÷ today's price. "How often it happened" = the share of past windows of that length in which the price rose at least that many times. It is history, not a probability.

After tax: 30% + 4% cess (31.2%) on the gain with no loss set-off under the Income-tax Act, 2025. Fees, surcharge and the Indian exchange premium are left out.

FAQ

Will Bitcoin reach ₹1 crore?

Nobody knows. From the 23 Oct 2026 price of ₹77,02,716, ₹1 crore needs a 1.3× rise. Since 2014, 62% of one-year windows rose that much and 100% of five-year windows did. That is history, not a forecast.

Can Bitcoin go to ₹10 crore?

It would need a 13× rise from today: +67% a year over 5 years. 51% of 5-year windows since 2014 did that, but only 22% of those starting in 2018 or later.

How reliable are Bitcoin price prediction sites?

Most "predictions" are trend lines drawn from past prices or opinions, and old forecasts have often missed badly in both directions. An honest way to test any target is to work out the yearly return it needs and how often the past delivered that.

Does holding Bitcoin for years avoid losses?

Every 4-year window since Jan 2014 ended in profit; the worst was +14% a year. But this is about 12 years and a few market cycles, and returns have shrunk: the median one-year return was +132% for windows starting 2014–2017 and +63% for those starting in 2022 or later.

Where does the data come from?

Bitstamp's BTC/USD close on the 1st of each month, converted with the ECB USD/INR reference rate (via Frankfurter). Today's price is CoinGecko's daily rupee close, updated live when the page loads.

Data: Bitstamp public API (BTC/USD daily OHLC) · ECB euro reference rates via Frankfurter (USD/INR) · CoinGecko API (BTC/INR daily). Download: monthly BTC/INR dataset · methodology. Updated 2026-10-24.

Not financial advice and not a forecast. Past returns do not predict future returns. Bitcoin is volatile and you can lose money. Indian exchange prices may differ from the global price used here.
